Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone, state, role.
• Loan request data: loan purpose, amount, credit range, property state — used to match you with loan officers.
• Loan officer data: NMLS ID, state licenses, public profile fields.
• Usage data: pages viewed, quote interactions, basic device info.

We do not request SSNs, full bank credentials, or government IDs through the marketplace. Those are handled directly between you and the loan officer or their lender.

2. How we use information

• Operate the marketplace and match borrowers with eligible loan officers.
• Send transactional notifications (quote received, quote accepted, account verification).
• Maintain security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Who sees your data

• Loan officers: see your loan request details (loan type, amount, credit range, state) and your name/contact only after you accept their quote or open an application via their handoff link.
• Other loan officers: sealed-bid — they see only aggregate APR ranges, not individual competing quotes.
• Service providers: hosting, email delivery, analytics, and authentication infrastructure, bound by contract.
• Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
• Advertising platforms: if you consent to advertising cookies, we share limited event data (such as page views and loan request submissions, with contact details hashed) with Meta Platforms and Google to measure and improve our advertising.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We retain account and loan request data while your account is active. When you delete your account we anonymize your loan requests (removing name and contact information) while preserving aggregate marketplace history. Audit and security logs are kept up to 24 months.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (California / CCPA, EU / GDPR, and others), you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal information (use "Export my data" in your profile).
• Correct inaccurate information (update directly in your profile).
• Delete your account and associated data ("Delete my account" in your profile).
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Sharing with advertising platforms occurs only with your cookie consent, and you can opt out at any time by declining or withdrawing cookie consent.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (TLS), row-level access controls, password breach screening, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification.
